The Warp13a Microchip PIC device programmer is a low cost, high quality, alternative to most of the competing programmers on the market today. It cleverly uses the same protocol as the PICSTART PLUS allowing it to be a direct replacement. There are very few PICs that it will not program. It has the added bonus of also supporting several 8-pin Serial EEPROMs. A Zero Insertion Force socket is used to insure long life. Intelligent signal routing allows devices with as few as 8 pins to be programmed using the installed 40-pin ZIF. The ICSP connector can be used to program compatible devices without removing them from the development hardware or during the manufacturing process. The included Windows Interface works well stand-alone or integrates nicely into the CCS PCW/PCWH IDE. Another interface option is the MPLAB IDE due to the fact that MPLAB will consider the Warp13a and the PICSTART PLUS as identical hardware. This PIC Programmer always ships with current firmware. Future updates are free and made easy via the bootloader that is integrated into the unit. No more chip swapping!
